What do I need to do- Main Responsibilities:

I need to:

Work with my RD to design the people plan for the area to ensure that DLL attract and retain high calibre people. Coach the GM’s to ensure effective and consistent delivery of the following key people areas;


Recruitment against the DLL values
Induction to ensure a consistent understanding of DLL expectations
Development via individual coaching and appropriate training courses
Performance management to ensure everyone understands what we are trying to achieve as a business and how their role fits into the big picture. Conduct regular reviews on club and personal performance (via informal 1-1’a and team meetings and formal performance and development reviews) – ensure high performance is recognised and rewarded whilst under performance is not tolerated
Succession planning to highlight talent within the area so that gaps within the area are filled internally wherever possible




Deliver first class member service across the area


Take the lead in interacting and communicating with members, actively promoting, and seeking ways to add value to the member’s overall experience, being member obsessed at all times including managing member communication channels (i.e. member forums, comment cards etc)
Ensure existing and new products are delivered consistently across the area.
Ensure company standards are adhered to and delivered consistently across the area (including Brand Standards, Ways of Working etc)
Ensure that complaints are responded to effectively in the club and responsible for the escalation of any member complaints within the area
Ensure consistent delivery of the service level agreements from the Partners and Contractors proving services to the club








Work with my RD to design the Financial plan for the area (including the annual operating plan and budget). Communicate with, and coach the GM’s to deliver the following key financial targets;


P&L delivery across the area – focus on NMS, Attrition and Participation
MYM
Delivery of sales plan across the area
Delivery of the balanced scorecard targets




Communicate company strategy and area news/initiatives across the area and provide feedback to Club Support as appropriate


Design and deliver the local PR plan for the area




Requirements:

Essential skills/ qualifications I need

Commercial acumen - proven business delivery across multi disciplines (and multi sites also desirable)

Results focused – drives standards and behavior to achieve challenging results with integrity (what and how)

Excellent interpersonal skills – ability to influence across a board spectrum, build effective teams and coach others to do the same

Customer Focused – consistently delivers first class service

Flexibility – both in terms of geography and day to day management of the area
