We are in the process of opening India’s first private sports school and is looking for an individual to fill the position of “Director – Sports”.

The Director – Sports would be the overall head of all the sports in the school. He / she should have relevant experience in dealing with multiple sports and being able to handle day to day operation across various sports. Must be a great team players and strong leadership skills and knowledge of key sports. Some of the job responsibilities of the Director – Sports are indicated below. These are highlighted as the key roles and are not all inclusive;

· Responsible for overseeing the functioning of all the sports in the school

· Deciding on manpower requirements, Managing manpower and coordinating with the individual heads of respective sports

· Finalizing programs, schedules and session plans of various sports within the school

· Deciding on participation of the school teams in local and national level events

· Overall in charge to the school management of meeting of all objectives for each sport

· strong communication and public-speaking skills

· needs strong teamwork and interpersonal skills

· willing to work on weekends and in the evenings

· Ability to drive business development activities with leading brands

· Be the representative of the school in all matters related to the sports with external parties

Qualification and Experience:

Ø At least a bachelor's degree in physical education a degree in business, sports management will be an advantage

Ø The director also needs five or more years of experience working in sports/athletic administration.

Ø Should have three years of high school coaching experience

Ø Experience as a school/college-level sports coach or athlete

Ø History of fundraising are also important.

School is situated on the outskirts of Bangalore (110 kms) and 80 kms from the airport.”
